The given tables compare data collected from a survey on citizens’ opinions about six aspects of life in an urban area in 1980 and 2010.
Overall, what stands out from the table is that there were the most significant changes in healthcare and shops received the highest proportion by 2010, whereas it can be seen from the second table that issues with environment and accommodation have appeared.
In 1980, education received the highest proportion of positive responses with only 6 considered it as bad. Besides education ,other two aspects, shop and environment, also showed high perceptions making up 75 and 72. On the other hand, the lowest amount of statistical study was allocated to accommodation and transport systems, which demonstrated the level of urban area earlier.
By 2010, public services including: shops and healthcare had developed rapidly compared to 1980, showing percentages 81 and 83, and became features with the highest rate. In addition, the figure of transport system and accommodation also increased sharply as a good, which shows that city infrastructure of the area also improved over time. In contrast, the environment and education experienced a dramatic decline, as negative views rose to 20 and 11.
