Overall, Canada and Japan showed the highest levels in all social and economic indicators, showing the contrast between other countries. Meanwhile, Peru and Zaire were the least in annual income, life expectancy, daily calorie supply and adult literacy rate.
In terms of annual income per person, Japan recorded the highest annual income with 15760 US dollars, and Canada followed with 11100. By contrast, income levels in Peru and Zaire were extremely low, at just 160 and 130 US dollars respectively. Canada and Japan had a bigger gap in daily calorie supply per person, with 3326 and 2846. By comparison, Peru and Zaire recorded much lower values, at 1927 and 1749 calories per person.
Life expectancy rates in Canada and Japan were almost the same, with the former being lower than the latter by only two years. Peru and Zaire showed a similar pattern, with life expectancy at 51 and 47 years respectively. In terms of adult literacy, both Canada and Japan recorded similarly high rates of 99%. The largest difference was between Canada and Zaire, with literacy rates of 99 and 34% respectively.
