The table illustrates the data of three types of fishes, which are Arctic char, Farmed Salmon and Rainbow trout from 2008 to 2018, which the unit is millions of tons.
The numbers of all major species grew noticeably, with rainbow trout consistently being the least. While the Arctic char dominated initially, Salmon were raised in much larger numbers towards the end of the period.
The number of Farmed salmon increased steadily for 10 years, but increased sharply in 2018, the number increased more than twice compared to the previous year: 13,448 million tons. In addition, the number of Rainbow trout increased steadily from 2008 to 2016, but decreased sharply in the last year, from 2138 to 295, about 7 times higher than the same period last year. On the other hand, the consumption of Arabian trout is different from the other two types. In the first 2 years, the number of fish decreased from 3124 to 2427 million tons, but in the following years of the period, the number increased steadily from 3089 million tons to 4919 million tons, an increase of 1830 tons compared to 2010.
From 2008 to 2014, the number of Arctic char was the highest, but in the last 2 years, the number of Salmon was the highest. In the 10 years, the number of Rainbow trout was always in the last position among all 3 types.
