The table illustrates how many millions of tonnes of 3 different types of fishes were farmed from 2008 and 2018. Overall, while the figure for Salmon witnessed the most dramatic upward trend, Rainbow trout irrespective of showing consistent increase witnessed a sharp decline by the end. Despite decreasing sharply to 2427 following 2 years, it showed a continuous increase until 2018 where its figure accounted for 4914 millions tonnes. In contrast, although the figure for rainbow trout showed a noticeable upward trend and reached its peak at 2138 in 2016, it witnessed a sharp decline to 295 million of tonnes after 2 years.
