The table below lists the average daily sunshine hours in Sydney and Melbourne between January and December. It also provides information about temperatures. It is evident that January stands out as the longest sunshine hours and the highest temperature.
January of Both Sydney and Melbourne has the longest sunshine hours of 8.5 and 7.5, respectively. December follows it with hours of 8.4 and 7.4, respectively. On the other hand, June has the least sunshine hours of 5.8 in Sydney and of 5 in Melbourne.
January also has the highest temperature in both cities with a degree of 26 and 25, respectively. Interestingly, February also has the highest average temperatures with the same degree of January. In stark contrast, July is the coldest month with temperatures around 15. It is low more than 10 degrees when compares to the hottest months. In fact, most of other months except for July, temperatures proportionally go high with sunshine hours.
