From an overall perspective, it can be seen that Americas, Europe, and Oceania have the highest proportion of literate people, whereas Asia and Africa have the lowest one. Regarding gender, there is not a significant difference in the number pf male and female, who are able to read and write, in Europe, Oceania, Americas, while Asia and Africa have an opposite situation.
Globally, 82.2% of word’s population is literate that is explained by good results demonstrated by American continents, European countries, and Pacific regions, 93.6%, 98.8%, and 71.6%, respectively.
According to the gender research, men and women showed almost the same figures, 99.2% and 98,5% in Europe, and 94.1% and 93.2% in both Americas together. Similarly, there are 94.2% of male and 92.7% of female capable of reading and writing in Oceania. In Asia and Africa, in contrast, there are quite a lot of educated men, 85.9% and 71.6%, respectively; however, only 72.5% and 53.9% of women comprehending written texts there.
