Overall, the number of Indian students increased in all universities between the two academic years. The largest percentage increase was seen at Sheffield University, while BPP University had the smallest rise.
Sheffield University experienced the most significant growth, rising from just 815 students in 2020/21 to 2,345 in 2021/22, which is a 187.7% increase. Similarly, Coventry University had a substantial rise of 121.3%, with the number of students more than doubling from 2,390 to 5,290. The University of Leicester also saw a notable increase of 103.4%, with student numbers going from 1,175 to 2,390.
The University of Greenwich had a growth of 84.9%, with the student population increasing from 2,455 to 4,540. Anglia Ruskin University also saw a moderate rise of 69.6%. In contrast, BPP University, although it had the highest number of Indian students in both years, showed the smallest percentage increase at only 46.8%.
