The given table illustrates the amount percentage of deaths recorded annually in different countries – Afghanistan, Hong Kong, Saint Helena, Sierra Leone and Vietnam – over a 23-year period between 2000 and 2023.
Broadly speaking, what stands out from the table is that all five countries underwent increases and decreases in recorded deaths, with Saint Helena showing the most pronounced growth compared to others.
In the beggining, as has been mentioned before, while registered deaths in Saint Helena rose sharply from 0.86% to 1.68%, Sierra Leone dropped considerably from 2.00% to 0.83% untill the end of the period. Afterwards, Afghanistan witnessed a dramatic decline from 1.26% to 0, 58%.
Following this, there was slightly change in recorded deaths in Vietnam from around 0,55% to 0,66%. Next, Hong Kong experieced a small shrink from 0,54% to 0,77%. Consequently, there were ups and downs in all five countries over the period.
