The given table compares the proportions of male and female who involved work in four varieties of industries in a city in three years with 10-years intervals by starting 1990.
According to the table, manufacturing had the highest percentage of working men in the beginning while the figure for tourism had the lowest share of women workers. The percentages of men in retail/shop remained unchanged in whole period.
In 1990, although manufacturing had the largest share (30%) in men field, it had only 7% women workers as well as retail/shop. Even though the indication of tourism had the same proportion (13%) with that of retail/shop, however it was a dominant with 23% in female employees and followed by health (9%).
Regarding the changes in proportion of men, manufacturing plummeted sharply by losing half of initial share, before it decreased noticeably to 10%. The figure for retail/shop showed stable trajectory during the whole period. Tourism declined steadily to 10% however it remained stable in the next 10-years interval. By contrast, the indication of health had a gradual increase to 9% in 2010 despite of there had no change in 2000.
In addition, changes in the share of women, health, tourism and retail/shop increased progressively by about 3%, 2% and 1% each interval respectively. Manufacturing showed a small growth before it declined sharply.
