The chart illustrates the proportion of employment patterns across both genders in four different field in two decades (1990-2010). Overall, the percentage of women was upward, except in manufacturing, while the men categories was almost stable.
Starting with the man employed, the proportion in retail shop was 13% in the beginning of the period, following this, was stable for 3 years, and health employment remained relatively unchanged, at 7% to 9%. While manufacturing which had the highest proportion among all types of industries in 1990, showed the significant decrease, from 30% to 10%, the tourism industry dropped slightly from 13% to 10% in 2000, then which maintained unchanged in the final year.
Regarding the percentage of woman, the tourism job experienced a stable increase at a much slower rate, made up 9% over an entire timeframe, while the reverse was true for manufacturing, rose from 7% to 8%, before plunged to 3% at the end of the span. In terms of health and tourism, increased from 9% and 23% to 15% and 27% respectively in 2010.
