Furthermore, the proportion of workers in the different sectors showed moderate variation over the given period.
The percentage of men working as retailers or shop owners was the same figure of 13 % all throughout the period. Conversely, only 10% of men worked as manufacturers in the tourism industry in 2000 and 2010. Additionally, the proportion of males working in the health sector was 7%, 7%, 9% in 1990, 2000, 2010.
The majority of women worked in the tourism industry, in contrast to the minority of them working as manufacturers. The percentage of women who worked in the health sector increased from 9% to 15% from 1990 to 2010.
