the table gives in information about the rate of bicycle usage by different age group of a city’s population in 2011.
overall, it is claerly seen that the more citizens were becoming old the more bicycle riding diminished.Although female were more active in this practice than male.
the gender that rode bicycles the most was female.Since at a very young age( 0-9) they had the highest percentage with 51.3%. Then from 10 to17 years old ;girls stayed pretty active 42.2%; however this rate dramatically declined.The 18-39 years old registered a 17.1% of bicycle use which escaladed with the 40-59 group(12.3%). Despite a slight growth done by the 60+ with 18.5%, this percentage remains very low.
When it comes to male, at 0-9 their use of bycicle was rather high with 50.3%. this decreased a lot by around 26% with the 10-17 group. the 18-39 team had a 9.7 % usage of bicyle.Adult of 40-59 years old reached the lowest percentage with 8.0.The 60+ registered 13.2% .
