During the first year, Delhi led the way with 27,603,000 people, this was followed by Shanghai with 24,862,000 citizens which was the second city’s highest population. Moreover, the significant number of 18,894,000 dwellers was seen in Dhaka while the figure for Lagos only stood at 13,042,000. By contrast, Lahore and Bangalore solely witnessed a small number of population, at 11,263,000 and 10,990,000, respectively.
In terms of 2018, there was a remarkable increase of 991,000 people in Delhi, peaking at 28,514,000 in the last year. Shanghai also recorded a rise of 720,000 people to reach 25,582,000 whereas Dhaka’s population increased from 18,894,000 to 19,578,000 as a result of a 684,000 growth. The alternation of Lahore and Bangalore were approximately the same, at 475,000 and 450,000 each. Lagos, however, saw the smallest rise among other cities, at merely 421,000 people, reaching 13,463,000 citizens in the end.
