Overall, in all countries except New Zealand, water is mostly used for Agriculture, while New Zealand consumes water for Industry and Agriculture equally.
In Saudi Arabia, the percentage of water usage for households accounts for 23%, which is the largest percentage in this category. Meanwhile, in New Zealand, 10% of the total water sources is used for household purposes. By contrast, in the same category, Australia represents 12%, whereas in Egypt only 7% is recorded for households.
In addition, 7% of the total water consumption percentage is used for Industry in Egypt, which is also the lowest proportion in that statistic. However, New Zealand mostly uses its water for Industry, which makes up 46%. Meanwhile, Australia and Saudi Arabia represented 18% and 10%.
In New Zealand, the proportion of water used for Agriculture accounts for 44%, whereas Saudi Arabia indicates 67% of the total of their water sources. For the same purpose, Australia spends 70% of the water. Finally, 86% of the water is consumed in Egypt for Agriculture.
