Overall, the top ten most populated countries all display increases in their population, except for China and Brazil. The addition of three new countries projected in the top ten which are Congo, Ethiopia, and Tanzania will replace Bangladesh, Russia, and Mexico.
In more detailed analysis, it can be seen that China and India topped the 2019 rankings with 1341 million and 1225 million. The USA rounds the top three with 310 million followed by Indonesia with 240 million. All remaining countries have less than 200 million people.
Furthermore, India has been forecasted to top the podium with 1551 million seperated by a 600 million margin with China. Nigeria will be completing the big three with 730 million, which is a 600 million increase from the 2019 list. The rest of the countries show little separation between with Brazil having the least population of 177 million.
