The tables shows the amount of people living in the ten most populated countries in 2010 and the forecast for the leading ten countries by number of people by 2100.
Overall, it can be noted that the majority of the countries listed in 2010, also appear in the list of 2100. Only the following three countries were not included in the top countries of 2100: Japan, Russia, and Bangladesh. Instead, there are the new entries of Democratic Republic of Congo, Philippines, and Tanzania. Although The tables displayed many changes, only Pakistan remained on the same spot on the rank, helding the 6th position.
While observing the tables, it could be seen that only one country’s projection is a negative one, with Brazil’s population decreasing from 195 million in 2010 to 177 million in 2100. Another notable change is the population growth in Nigeria, who had the largest leap of 567 miilion people.
