The table compares the number of people paying a visit to five various areas around the world between a 1990 and 2005.The data is given in millions.Overall, there are increases in all regions while the reverse is true for America.
In 1990, America had by far the highest number of visitors before failing dramatically to 112.5 million in five years.There was a slight increase to 118.2 million in the following year. However, the number of travellers decreased to 113.2 million in 2005.
The Middle West was the lowest number of people visiting area during the whole period despite a 6 million change in the final year. The number of visitors to Europe stood at 280.2 million in 1990 before rising remarkably to 390.3 million in next five years. After witnessing a slight increase to 3 million this area became the highest level of people visiting region,reaching at 400.2 million in 2005.As for Africa and Asia, both areas which increased steadily during the period to 28.7 million and 135.8 million respectively in 2005. Looking at the total amount, it is clear that 1990 was the year observing the lowest rate of visitors while the opposite was true for 2005.
