Overall, the country with the highest number of researchers per million people was poland, whereas Togo showed an opposite trend. Moreover, while proportion of researchers in some countries were increasing, in other countries it decreased over the period given.
To start with the highest numbers, in Poland, there were 285 technology researchers per million people in 2003, which declined gradually to 234 in 2005 and reached 226 in 2006. Mexico, which started with 147 at the start of the period, rose significantly to 242 in 2005, then falling to over 180 by the end.
The number individuals who work as researchers in Turkey, grew throughout the period given and was 47, 70, and 106 in 2003, 2005, and 2007, respectively. In contrast, Moldova showed a different trend, growing up from 89 to 114 between 2005 and 2007 after slight fall from 103 to 89 . Finally, Togo had the lowest number of researchers per million people consisting between 17 and 23 workers.
