Overall, increases were witnessed in the registrations for all modes of transport over a 4-year period, with the highest proportion change belonging to motorcycles.
Looking at the table in more detail, the number of motorbike registration rose 30,7%, from 570,000 in 2010 to 745,000 in 2014, which was the figure with the highest growth. This was followed by that of light trucks with an increase of 23.5%, between 106,000 to 131,000 after a period of 4 years starting from 2010.
Regarding the ownership gains of passenger vehicles and commercial vehicles, their percentage rises were fairly similar, at 18.2% and 17.4%, respectively. Additionally, there was an upward trend in the number of heavy trucks registered, from 384,000 to 423,000, accounting for 10.2% and becoming the smallest increase among the five categories
