Looking at the illustration, it is immediately evident that passenger vehicles recorded the largest figures in all the years throughout the period, whereas the opposite was true for light trucks. Additionally, all the vehicles surveyed showed an overall upward trend over the period.
In 2010, the number of passenger vehicles clearly dominated the chart at 11,800,000, which far exceeded the number of commercial vehicles at almost 2,500,000. Motorcycles and heavy trucks followed with 540,000 and 384,000, respectively, while light trucks came last at approximately 106,000. Over the period, motorcycles experienced the highest growth rate among the five categories.
In 2014, passenger vehicles continued to grow gradually and reached a peak of 13,000,000, thus maintaining their position as the most registered type of vehicle, far exceeding commercial vehicles at roughly 2,700,000. In the same year, motorcycles and heavy trucks also increased steadily, reaching 709,000 and 416,000, respectively.
