Overall, it is clear that despite Asia and Oceania regions had more produced product, Europe had more consumed potatoes than other continents. As for Africa had both less consumed and harvested by contrast any regions.
The highest percentage of consuming potatoes belonged to the European with 96.1%. The North America stood at the second rate with consumption of potatoes 57.9%. And this was followed by Asia and Oceania regions had eaten 25.8% potatoes per year. Moreover, the proportion of consuming potatoes in South and Central America presented at 23.6%. Finally, the least consumption of potatoes was 14.1% in Africa.
Regarding the production of potetoes, Asia and Oceania had produced the most product at 131.2 millions tonnes in that year and this followed by Europe mainland had harvested 126.3 millions tonnes potatoes. North America continent had grown 24.7 millions tonnes and South and Central America had supplied with 15.6 millions tonnes potatoes in a year. Acrica had given 16.4 millions tonnes potatoes products per year.
