The table illustrates the amount of household income (in) five different European nations(who) spend every month on four items,such as food and drink, housing, clothing and entertainment.
Overall, it is clearly apparent that all five countries spend the majority of their income on housing and food and drink. However, they less spend on clothing and entertainment.
Looking into the details, housing is the largest expenditure item for France, Germany and the UK, they spend around one-third of their income on this, which is 31%, 33% and 37%, respectively. In contrast, they spend about a quarter on food and drinks. In contrast, Turkey, Spain and (the) UK spend their monthly income on Food and drinks which is around 36%, 31% and 27% respectively. Whereas, France and Germany spend only 25%, and 22% on food and drinks.
All five nations spend less on clothing and entertainment. France and Spain spend less than 10% on clothing, while the other three nations spend 15%, 11%, and 12%. On the contrary, Germany spends the most on entertainment which is 19%. Whereas, Spain, the UK and France spend 15%, 11% and 13% respectively. However, Turkey spends less on entertainment which is approximately 10%.
