Overall, food & drink and housing are the largest expenditures that most people in five different nations spend on, and this is obvious in the figures for Turkey and the UK. In contrast, clothing and entertainment receive the lowest amount from the budget of the residents of the five countries.
Looking at the food and drink sector, Turkey has the largest percentage at 36%, followed by Spain at 31%, and France and Germany are around a quarter. Despite this, Spain and Turkey have the highest rate of spending on food and drink, and these two nations are seen as having the lowest percentage, at 20% and 18% respectively, in housing expenditure. On the other hand, the remaining three countries are similar to each other, as they are just over a third.
Clothing and entertainment are the two categories containing the lowest percentage that the citizens of five countries spend on. Germany has the highest percentage in both categories, which make up 15% and 19% respectively. Besides, the UK and Turkey are close to each other, just above 10%, and they are also higher than the other two countries in the clothing category. In contrast, Spain and France overtake those two countries with 15% and 13% respectively.
