While BPP university had the largest number of full-time students from India in 2020/21, they were overtaken by Coventry university in the following year and became the university with the most full-time students from India. In contrast, Sheffield University remained as the university with the lowest number of students from India in 2020/21 and 2021/22.

BPP university, which had 3505 students from India in 2020/21 and 5145 in 2021/22, was surpassed by Coventry university, which had 2390 students from India in 2020/21 and 5290 in 2021/22. Sheffield University’s number of students from India experienced significant growth,increasing by 121.3% or 2900 students, while BPP university only rose by 46.8% or 1640 students from India. In contrast, Sheffield university, which started with the lowest number of students from India (815 students), experienced drastic growth, increasing by 187.7% or 1530 students from India.

The University of Greenwich, which had 2455 students from India in 2020/21 and 4540 in 2021/22, increased by 84.9% and 2085 students. Similarly, Anglia Ruskin university experienced slight growth over the period, having 1925 students in 2020/21 and 3265 in 2021/22, increasing by 69.6% and 1340 full-time students from India. The University of Leicester, which had 1175 in 2020/21 and 2390 students from India in 2021/22, experienced significant growth, rising by 103.4% or 1215 students from India.
