Overall, the highest level of population growth recorded in low income countries and the least population growth was in high income countries. The average birth per women was highly in low income countries and lowest in high also. The highest figure for life expectancy at birth was in high income countries and the lowest in low income ones.
In 2002, the population growth in high, middle, and low income countries increased by 0.8, 0.9 and 2 percentage points respectively. The figure for average birth per woman was 1.7 in high income, 2.2 in middle income and 3.9 in low income countries. Life expectancy at birth was higher in high income countries than other income levels and was 78, the figure for middle income ones was 69.1 and 58,1 in low income countries.
In 2004, the population growth in countries with more income increased by 0.7 percentages, the figure for middle income countries remained stable and the figure for low income ones increased by 1.8 percentages. The figure for average birth per women in large income countries did not witness a change but in middle and low income countries the figure decreased to 2.1 an 3.7 respectively. The figure for life expectancy at birth in high, middle, and low income countries went up by 0.7, 0.9, and 0.7 respectively.
