The two tables illustrate the number of hours for two types of working time, comparing twp genders in different regions in 2002. Overall, there was a minor gap between men and women, which made the male group a leader; however, the female group held the leading position only in part -time working in two territories: the Netherlands and European average.
Focusing on the full-time working first, men stood at the forefront with 42.5 hours in Greece, 40.4 hours in European average; while in the Netherlands, there was recorded similar proportions – 38 hours. Looking at last country, the UK, men comprised 37.5 hours, whereas the women group constituted 37 hours.
Regarding the number of hours for part-time working then, women demonstarted a whopping 34 hours in European average and 29.2 hours in the Netherlands, while males accounted 32 and 28.3 hours in these regions. Nevertheless, men had proportions such as 30 and 29 hours in other countries, which was 0.7 and 1 hour higher than for women, respectively.
