The table chart compares the (number of releases,% of all releases,% of income from ticket sales)independent films released in the UK and republic of Ireland by genre in 2012.
It is clear that the highest number of releases were drama and documentary.By contrast, the percentage of income from ticket sales from comedy was highest.
In terms of releasing, drama and documentary films each released 35 and 23.6% was all releases in the UK in 2012.While drama films income 8.3% from ticket sales, documentary films income only 2.9% at that time.The number of comedy film was released at 26 and 17.6% of all releases which was income 45.4% from ticket sales.
For the remaining categories, horrors film income ratio was the second position at 20.2%, while it was 9.5% of all releases.Biopic, crime, romance films were least number of released and percentage of all releases at 1,7,5 and 0.7%,4.7%,3.4% respectively. Biopic income from ticket sales was highest than crime and romance films and the portion was 9.1%.
