In general, it can be clearly seen that the number of online stores was significantly higher than department stores. However, both showed relatively small differences in terms of profit (AUD), sales revenue (AUD) and growth, online stores nonetheless demonstrated higher overall results.
As regards number of businesses, online stores led with 368, which accounted for about fivefold more than department stores. Nevertheless, the difference in profit (AUD) was slightly higher in favor of online shops, with 863 compared with 807 for the other stores.
In terms of sales revenue (AUD), online shops received 13,400, while department stores were ranked second, amounting to 12,700. Besides, in growth rate, the former spared the same leading trend in contrast to the letter, with .6% and .4%, respectively.
