The table gives information about the number of students participating in six different departments at an Australia university in 2009.
Overall, it can be seen that most of the female students chosen studying physics, math, chemistry with a small number. The population of students whose first language not English were accounted for 3 groups with highest figure: modern languages, physics, math. While the other columns were accounted for modern languages, physics and chemistry. With English, modern languages and history department, the number of female students here are higher than others with 67%, 63% and 58%, respectively. However, there are only 16% and 10% of students whose first language not Emglish. Modern languages still remain unchanged the highest position in this group and it also accounted for 54%.
In Chemistry department, accounting for the smallest number of females, up to 47% borning outside Australia and only 32% of students who first language not English. In Math, the number of female was 42%, higher than the percentages of students whose first language not English, but lower than 1% in the figures for borning outside Australia.
