Overall, while the percentage of the UK visitors to Spain in 35-54 and 25-34 years old decreased moderately, those for 16-24, 0-15, 55+ in age increased. The proportion of the UK visitors aged 16 to 24 witnessed a nearly quadruple growth, whereas those of 25-34 aged people declined about a half.
Representing fifty percent of the total visitors in 1983, the UK 35-54 years old travelers proportion was thirty percent higher than people in 25-34 age. Two decades later, a roughly similar cut in total tourists was experienced as the 35-54 age group descended to 35%, approximately tripling those for the 25-34 age group.
The data of sightseers in the 16-24 age bracket saw a significant rise, from just 4% in 1983 to 15% in 2003. Likewise, the figure of travelers aged 55 and over increased from 16% to 26%. On the other hand, the percentage of children (0-15) grew slightly, rising from 10% to 12%.
