The table below displays the percentages of different age groups of tourists who traveled to Spain from the United Kingdom during the period from 1981 to 2015.
Overall, the 25-35 age category comprised the highest proportion of overall tourists during the entire period, while the 16-24 age group exhibited the most significant increase in percentage. Moreover, the 0-15 age group showed the most negligible alteration and accounted for the lowest proportion by the end of the period.
In detail, the 25-35 age category’s percentage plunged from 50% to 32%, but still composed the most substantial part of the overall percentage in 2015. Regarding the 16-24 age group’s proportion, it jumped from 4% in 1981 to 15% in 2015, demonstrating the biggest increase in percentage. While the 0-15 age group’s percentage marginally increased from 10% to 12%, which was equal to the 35-45 age category’s proportion in 2015. Moving on to the 35-45 age group, its proportion plummeted from 22% to 12%, meanwhile thd 55 age category’s percentage increased from 16% to a quarter of the overall percentage in 2015.
