Overall, it is clear that public services recorded the highest salaries, with the “wholesale and retail” sector witnessing the strongest change. In addition, public services was the sector with the highest employment rate of graduates among the six sectors.
In terms of average wages in the six sectors, finance, public services, and transport were the sectors with the highest wages, at around 83.000, 92.000, and 81.000, respectively, in 2004. More specifically, the average wages of these sectors in 2004 were reported to be about 3% different from 2003. Meanwhile, the manufacturing, agriculture, and “wholesale and retail” sectors were reported to have lower wages, at 52.000, 40.000, and 77.000, respectively, about 3% different from 2003, except for “wholesale and retail” which recorded a change of 8.4%.
As for employment rates of graduates in occupations, the employment rate in the public sector is 30%, followed by agriculture and manufacturing (25% and 20%), while the figures for transport, “wholesale and retail” and finance are 10%, 10%, and 5%, respectively.
