The table illustrates how much several export products were from 2009 to 2010.
Overall, the export values of equipment, telecommunications, and metals increased during the period surveyed, while the opposite change was true for those of clothing and manufactured products. Despite these changes, the overall values of export goods saw growth between the two years.
Looking first at the overall figure, there was an increase from $32 HK billion to $38.4 HK billion in the total value of the products mentioned, making a slight change of 20%.
Moving on to the categories, which witnessed larger changes than the overall value, the export value of metals was about $2.3 HK billion in 2009, which was the lowest figure in the whole table, with a rise to $5.1 billion in the next year, marking the most significant change of 120%. Similarly, the figure for telecommunications products also experienced a considerable change, but of only 61%, from $7.9 billion to $12.7 billion in the latter year. Conversely, export manufactured products had a value of $5.5 HK billion in 2009, followed by a decrease of $1.5 HK billion, making a change of -27%.
Turning to the remaining categories, which saw smaller changes than the total values, while equipment underwent an increase of 13% in export value, the figure for clothing items experienced a fall of -17%. Particularly, the respective figures were from $10.3 HK billion to $11.6 HK billion, and from $6 HK billion to $5 HK billion.
