We are shown the data of table in which the information about starving people over the world from 2000 to 2009 and the next information from the chart displays about price of very important in the world two grain crops rice and wheat in the same period.
To sum up briefly we can say number of undernourished people has already increased greatly in recent years. For example, if in 2000 year the figure was within 850 million in 2009 the number has increased to 1024 million. Every two-year number of hungry people grew by 2 or 3 million. First sharp jump was in 2004. If we if we look at the graph the price of wheat in this year was 400 dollars for per ton. But it is not led to big changes in number of people because prices of rice were in stable, around 200 dollars for per ton.
The second big growth spurt was from 2006 to 2009. Number of starving people increased significantly from 876 to 1024 it makes 100 million people. Graph shown us the prices of wheat and rice in this years increased from 600 to 800 for rice and 600 to 1180 for wheat. When we review the factors we see two thinks: firstly, the number of undernourished people depends by price of grains, second mind, price of rice more important for food security than wheat.
