The tabular data gives information about the increasing malnourished population worldwide over a period of 9 years (2000 to 2009). While, the line graph depicts a trend about the expenses of rice and wheat in this same duration. The data is calibrated in millions and dollars per ton respectively.
To begin with, there was an increment by few millions in the community of undernourished people from the year 2000 to 2006. Further, it shows an exponential rise in ill-fed people of about 148 millions between 2006 and 2009.
On the other hand, the rate of wheat has a hike of approximately 200 dollars from 2000 to 2002; which was decreased by 100 dollars in 2004. In the same timeframe, the prices of rice were constant that is 200 dollars. In 2006, the cost of two grains was similar at around 300 dollars per ton. From 2006 to 2009, both wheat and rice prices skyrocketed reaching nearly to 1150 dollars and 900 dollars per ton respectively.
Overall, the number of undernourished people and prices of both grains rose dramatically from 2000 to 2009 ( 9 years).
