The table provides information about the ranking of universities that were the top 200 in the world for Biology, Medicine, Psychology in five distinct countries, namely- The USA, The United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand and Cananda in 2011.
Overall, the amount of universities ranked in the UK for all three subject was the highest compared with other countries, while the figure for universities’ ranking in New Zealand were recorded the lowest in the table.
Out of the five countries, the USA had the most universities ranked top 200 in the world for all subjects, at 69 academic institutions, following by the UK with 30 universities. Moreover, the number of universities were in top 200 for biology, medicine and psychology in Australia that ranked third, with 9, 13 and 17 universities, respectively, for three categories
The country ranked fourth in term of the amount of academic institutions in top 200 among five countries in the table was Canada, with 9 universities for biology, 12 for medicine and 14 for psychology. Meanwhile, New Zealand had the least universities that were in top 200 in the world, with medicine was only 2 institutions.
