Overall, it can be seen that Edinburgh Zoo was more popular the year after the introduction of the pandas, than the year before. Also, people who visited the zoo after the arrival of the pandas responded very satisfied and satisfied on a larger share than before.
Visitors number, which had risen from 74,000 to 82,000, increased significantly the year after the pandas were introduced.
People who were satisfied while answering the survey remained stable at 40%. However, the percentage of those who were very satisfied changed from 10% to 35%, representing an increase by 25 percentage points.
On the other hand, the proportion of dissatisfied people fell from 35% to 15%. Similarly, the percentage of very dissatisfied people accounted for 10% the first year and dropped to 5% the year after the pandas. Moreover, people who didn’t respond to the survey remained the same at 5%.
