The given line graph depicts the obesity levels, between 4 different age groups. In single country, between 1971 and 2005.
Overall, it is clear from the chart, all age groups show an upward trajectory. However, the age group between 45-64 showed a significant increase throughout the chart. Following this, the other two age groups, 30-44 and 65-74, almost showed similar percentages, while people aged between 18-29 had the lowest level of obesity.
In terms of specific age groups, there was a high level of obesity among people aged between 45-64, around 18% in 1971. Next came individuals aged 65-74, who had similar percentages. Both groups showed a dramatic increase until 1999, reaching around 31% by that year. They showed a slight fluctuation until 2003, and in the following couple of years, they hit the maximum in 2005 — the 45-64 age group at 40%, and the 65-74 group at 35%.
Turning to the age groups with the lowest levels of obesity, people aged 30-44 started the chart at 15% in 1971 and increased gradually until 1999, then rose steadily until 2005. Finally, individuals aged 18-29 had the lowest percentages, beginning at under 10%, around 8%, and experiencing a gradual increase up to 2005.
