The table presents data on the percentage of women’s employment rate and women that had positions as manager in the workforce in five different countries.
Overall, Except for Egypt, the other countries saw a comparatively high number in the employment rate, however, there is a shift in the rank of women’s managers rate. Japanese women dominated the employment rate, whereas the United States witnessed an outstanding number of women in the manager roles.
In terms of employment rate in women, Egypt is the by far lowest in the number, which is also the only one country that had lower than 40% women contributed to the workforce. In contrast, Japanese womens play an important role in the workforce, which is more than twice as high as in Egypt. Moreover, Australia, Singapore, and the United States are followed closely to Japan in the number of women in work.
Regarding manager roles played by women in workplaces, Australia and the United State are the two countries that have seen not much changes compared to the employment rates of women, with 43% and 49% respectively. An interesting point is that despite the high percentage of women in employment, Singapore and Japan witnessed a dramatically low number of women in the managers, which only has 17% and 9% respectively.
