The report reveals two tables about fair trade banana and coffee sales in five Europeans countries during four years from 1999 to 2004, measured by millions of euros.
Overall, coffee sales mushroomed in all countries during the given period. On the other hand, the banana sales accounted for the highest percentage in the UK in 2004, while demonstrated the lowest point in Denmark in 1999.
Starting in 1999, the coffee sales of fair trade in the Switzerland showed the highest number at 3 million euros, compared with Sweden accounted the lowest point approximately 0.8 million euros. In 2004, Switzerland increased to double and Denmark and Belgium climbed gradually around 1 million euros, while the UK hit a peak with 20 million euros at the same giving period.
For banana sales, the UK sales accounted for the highest number in both different countries at 15 million euros and 47 million euros respectively. Additionally, Denmark and Switzerland were grew significantly to over four million euros in 2004. Finally, it is worth noting that Sweden it is only country showed sales decline from 2 million euros to 0.9 million euros at the both different periods.
