The given chart depicts how many unique reasons people are considering quitting smoking, and when they mostly intend to give up.
According to the information provided in the first table, being better for health in general is the major cause for people giving up smoking cited by 71% of interviewees, followed by financial considerations and lesser risk of getting smoking-related diseases with 31 and 25 percent, respectively. Subsequently, going to the bottom of the table, it is shown to us that 16% of people, getting rid of the smoking habit, consider the fact of family pressure. Eventually, the least popular reason consists of the question of current health problems occupying the place with 12% of total.
In the next table, it is mentioned that 71% of all smokers plan to quit smoking while another 29% don’t intend to give it up. It also consists of separated clauses in which it is reflected when smoking people are going to abandon cigarettes. We can highlight that most of the respondents are going to stop smoking within the next 6 months with a rate of 35%, while only 12% plan to do it within the next month. Among those there is also another part of people surveyed with a purpose of giving up smoking within the next year which includes 21% of smokers.
