The table illustrates how the average hours work by part-time and full-time differs by gender in Greece, Netherlands and the UK in the year 2002.
Overall, in 2002, average number of hours for full time workers in men were slightly more than women, while in part time workers, women worked more than men.
In Greece and the UK, average number of hours for full time women workers were less than men workers. In comparsion, both genders had the same number of work hours in Netherlands, accounting for 38 hours. In Greece, full time work hours for men were 42.5 hours, being the highest hour, whereas women workers from the UK accounted for 37 hours of work, making up the lowest working hour.
As for the part time workers, in Netherlands, women worked more than man. On the other hand, in Greece and the UK, men’s average work hours were approximately 1 hour more than women. While women’s work hours were less than 30 hours in all three countries, men from Greece reached to 30 hours, accounting for the highest working hour in the second table.
