The three pie charts depict the variations between living places by holidaymakers in1965, 1985 and 2005. It is noticable that the choice of staying with friends or relatives is decling swiftly, while the choice of hotels boomed expeditiously.

In 1965, over one-half (55%) holidaymaakers chose to stay with relatives or friends which was a largest percentage. Followed by similar percentage of hotel which occupied over one-third (16%) as well as camping at 15% and caravans at 14%.

Turning to 1985, there were major changes in the distribution. Most significantly , the percentage of staying with friends or relatives declined substantially by 20%, while the percentage of hotel rose promptly by 21%. Likewise, the percentage of camping and caravans slightly increased by 3% and decreased by 4% respectively.

However, the percentage of hotels and staying with friends or relatives had no huge differences, whereas the percentage of caravans doubled, rising from 10% in 1985 to 20% in 2005, becoming the third popular choice. Camping is the least popular choice which only occupied 12% in 2005.
