The pie charts compare the percentage of people with different qualifications who worked in one engineering organization for two different years.
It is clear that the majority of employees both in 1980 and 2000 graduated with a Master of Science, while only a few had a PhD in Arts. Apparently, the trends for workers holding PhD in Science increased considerably, as was the case with those with PhD in Arts, while the numbers for First Degree Arts and Science graduates went down. There was the same proportion of masters of science in the workplace in both years.
In 1980, exactly one-fourth of the company workers had a First Degree in Arts, a number that shrunk drastically in 28 years to make up only 11% of the workforce. Similarly, First degree in science holders initially comprised 19%, which dwindled to 10% in 2008. The portion of the company that did PhD in Science and Arts was a meager 13% and 2% respectively at the beginning of the period. By 2008, their numbers noticeably increased, with the former occupying 30% of the personnel and the latter 7%. Different from others, the percentage of the staff that had Masters degree in Science remained 29% over the years given.
