Overall, it is obvious that industrial use is the most prevalent aim in North America and Europe, though in majority of countries Agricultural use is more popular. By contrast, domestic and industrial usages are responsible for relatively smaller shares in half of the countries (Africa, Central Asia and South East Asia)
In detail, leverage of water used for Industry is a dominant indicator in North America and Europe, at 48% and 53%, in turn. A Similar pattern can be seen regarding agriculture, as this figure constitute moderate proportions in both continents, at 39% and 32%, respectively. However, domestic use represents a small proportion of total, 13% in North America and 2% more in Europe.
In terms of other countries, water used by farmers is a dominant figure. It constitutes 71% of total in South America, followed by South East Asia (81%), Africa (84%) and Central Asia (88%), in which it makes up its highest share. Conversely, water utilized at homes is substancially lower, as it allocates 19% of all shares in South America, which is higher than other remaining countries. Similarly, Industrial use is responsible for approximately half of quarter (12%), which is fairly higher compared to other countries. However, least people used water for industrial purpose in Central Asia (5%). It should be mentioned that domestic use makes up the same proportion in Central Asia and South East Asia, representing 7% of total
