The graph illustrates the most widely consumed sources of energy (oil, natural gas, coal, hydroelectric power, nuclear power) in the USA in 1980 and 1990. Also each energy displayed in different colors. Units are measured in percentages.
Overall, the pie graph clearly depicts the increasing and decreasing popularity of energy in the UK in the given period. The majority consumption in 1980 belongs to oil and natural gas energy, and in 1990 it was oil and coal while hydroelectric power and nuclear power hit the bottom of the list due to the smallest expenditure during the period given.
In 1980, the small quantity of hydroelectric power and nuclear power consisted of only 5% but the biggest number of consumed energy was oil which made up 42%.
In 1990, the percentage of nuclear power increased to 10% whereas hydroelectric power bottomed out at 5%.At the same time oil energy decreased to 33% but still remained with the highest index. Furthermore insignificant differences appear in coal (from 22% to 27%) and natural gas (from 26% to 25%).
