The line graphs depict the continous figure for monetary value of imported goods in New Zealand from Australia and Japan from 1994 to 2004.
Overall,it is clear from two line graphs that import from Australia always exceeded that from Japan in terms of money. In addition, the difference in import from two countries had been started to incrrease continously just after 2002.However,in some period around 1999, the trend was reversed.
In 1994,required products that costs almost 4000 million dollars in NZ currency were imported from Australia that kept on rising at the beginning of 1995 to reached tentative figure of 6500 million dollars just after 1996.The figure fluctuated over the time and experienced lowest import of exactly 3000 million dollars at the end of 1998 which then dramatically rose to the 7500 million dollars in the middle of year 2000 which is about 7500 mill. However, the data fell down to about 5000 dollar in 2002 before it again climbed to highest peak of 8000 million dollars in the end of 2003.
The value for Japan started from 3000 million dollars in 1994 which continuously rose until the end of 1996 to attain about 6200 million dollars which was highest value of import from Japan. It was about 700 million dollars more imports from Japan than Australia in late 1996.The data again fell down to just above 4000 million dollars before it reaching 6000 millions dollars in the beginning of the year 2000.IN contrast, the data then started to fell daown exponentially to have difference of about 6000 million dollars between two countries.
