The two maps illustrate shifts in Riverford from the year 2007 to 2017. There has been an increasing number of houses and changes in the buildings’ size.

In 2007, the town obviously had less houses than in 2017, especially building of utilities. The residential area with many houses has been changed to apartments. According to the map, we can also see that in 2017 there were more shops and banks, and the appearance of a shopping center. There were also some vacant land that have been used for bicycle rental, and the town has a second building for school.

Over the years, it is also noticeable that buildings in 2017 were bigger than they used to be in 2007. The school in the north west of the town was enlarged, the hospital also got another building. The residential area in the north was renovated and became a shopping centre. The town’s train station was also reconstructed and became larger, in the middle of the town, there were also many shops added.
