The map depicts the alternations to Melvin Island from 2000 to 2010. Overall, the island has witnessed significant changes, the most notable of which are
the construction of transportation facilities and the recreational area.
To begin with, the woodland, which was in the east of the island in 2000, was minimized and separated into two parts in 2010. The northern part still remanined, while the southern section was converted into the airport. Likewise, to the north, the other woodland was turned into the golf course. Moreover, the marina was built in front of the village. Besides, in the central part, the farmland gave way to the swimming pool and spa.
The motel was situated in the northwest part of the island in 2000 and remodeled into the hotel by 2010. Similarly, the garages which were near the motel was demolished and chalets were bulit in its place in 2010. Additionally, the seafood restaurant was construted and replaced the teaspoon.
