The two pictures depict the alterations taken place in Dalton town between 1815 and 2015
Overall, the area shifted from an agricultural and farming-based town to a more urbanized and industrial region. The key changes include the expansion of housing, the introduction of amenities and a zone designated specifically for industrial, and the elimination of trees as well as all farming activities.
Regarding the section to the West of the branch of the river Dal, in 1815, this area was previously a forest, dominating by trees. However, in 2015, most trees in this zone were chopped down, only leaving several left adjacent to the side of the river branch. The Dalton forest was then replaced with an area for settlement at Northwestern area of the map. The ford was expanded to the West, coming along with the arrival of an industrial area, with 2 factories placing on each side of the road. Additionally, a hospital had also been built, which was opposite the residential area to the East.
In 2015, the Eastern part of the map was connected with the area on the other side of the river branch by the arrival of a new bridge. In 2015, there was an enlargement of the residential areas, . A hotel was built in the area, which was previously for the Dalton hall, and the Dalton hall was moved to the East of the Northern housing zone. Moreover, there was also the presence of new amenities, such as school and airport, to the East of the tree area in close proximity to the river branch and right on the Northeastern side of the main river.
